Dinosaurs and Delight: Ultreya GB at Norwich Cathedral

a group of people standing around a banner with text 'Ely Cursillo' in rainbow colours

The first face-to-face Cursillo event in eighteen months was a big one: Ultreya GB. Conveniently enough, it was hosted by our neighbouring diocese, Norwich. This made for a relatively short journey for us to join Cursillistas from across the UK for a joyous gathering at Norwich Cathedral. We began with worship in the cathedral, followed by connecting and sharing in floating group reunions. In the afternoon we joined a banner procession around the outside of the cathedral to finish with a Eucharist.

Very hearty thanks and congratulations to Norwich Cursillo, who pulled off a successful event in the face of a global pandemic (not to mention a dinosaur invasion).

Next year's event will be hosted jointly by London and Southwark - a rerun of what should have been the 2020 Ultreya GB. But we have plenty going on in Ely Cursillo: not least, our own first face-to-face Ultreya this coming Saturday, 11 September. Our online events continue through the autumn - see our Events page to find out more and sign up.

Ultreya!
