Ely Anglican Cursillo

What is it? A very simple conversation! In my experience (having been on both sides of it) it usually begins with something like, 'Have you heard of Cursillo?' Piety, study, or action? Action! As our spiritual director Stephen Bowring said in his talk at our Refugio earlier this month, inviting a fellow Christian to Cursillo is textbook apostolic action - it's an invitation to a deeper relationship with Jesus through the exercise of our minds and souls. Where did you find it?

What is it? It's an app which offers a guided prayer/devotional three times a day. Each morning prayer takes a different piece of Scripture as a starting point and takes you through a few possible prayerful responses before returning to the passage. If you're used to a traditional lectio divina practice, you will find this version is more directed, but there's still plenty of room for your own thoughts and reflections.
