A week after Pentecost, seven pilgrims gathered at the Diocesan House of Retreat in Pleshey in Essex, welcomed by an enthusiastic staff. The sun shone, the conversations were open and wide-ranging, and the event was a blessing for everyone who attended. Members of the wider Ely Cursillo community were able to greet Ely 38 via Zoom and assure the pilgrims of their prayers. From the welcome on Friday evening, through the talks, meditations and conversations, the healing service on Saturday evening, all the way to the closing service on Sunday, we are confident that the Holy Spirit was mightily at work.
We will reconvene at St Andrew's Hall, Chesterton, at 11am on Saturday 8 June for our Welcome Back Ultreya. Please join us there to welcome our new Cursillistas!
